2 and 3 show an officer by the burnt out Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús, constructed around 1741 to accommodate a school and was later turned into
a university. The church was destroyed by a fire in 1781 and further damaged by an earthquake in 1882.

4 and 5 are buildings in the Casco Viejo.

6 is inside the Arco Chato, the unsupported Arch and the facade of the Church and convent of Santo Domingo.

7 is in the Charles V parkette.

8 is the Plaza de Francia, a statue commemorating the thousands of French people who came to build the Panama canal.

9 is the Panama Canal Memorial remembering the thousands who died building it, primarily of diseases like malaria, in front of an old prison.
