Above: Brutal traffic going into Panama City ... note the gentlemen in the blue shirt standing on the right in the middle of traffic trying to sell stuff, it was common anywhere traffic slowed down a bit.

1 shows my room at sunrise (the second floor one).

2 to 4 show the traffic driving into Panama City, driving on the Bridge of the Americas and our tour guide Jeneel.

7 to 9 show the Iglesia de San José in the Casco Viejo (old town) of Panama City, including the Golden Altar. It is a wooden altar piece covered in gold leaf,
originally in the Panamá Viejo in the 1500's, but moved in 1671 by the St. Augustine order when the original settlement was looted and burned to the ground by pirates.

10 shows Saint Rita de Casia (1381-1457), Italian saint who joined an Augustinian community of religious sisters after her husband died, patroness of abused wives and heartbroken women.

11 to 13 show St. Augustine (354-430), a Roman African Christian theologian and philosopher born in Algeria, Our Lady of Consolation and San José (St. Joseph).
