Above: The Menara Gardens are a public garden and orchard in Marrakech, established in the 12th century (around 1157) by the Almohad Caliphate.

1 and 2 ... #1 shows another family combining the modern and the traditional ... the wife wearing very conservative traditional clothing, the husband wearing whatever he feels like and the only one wearing a helmet (which seems to be a thing, I guess passengers never get hurt in a crash, but not all drivers wear one), and the daughter being cushioned precariously by daddy while he drives. Similarly in #2, mom wears the helmet, the kids just hang on.

3 and 4 show some of many camels hanging around, waiting for riders.

5 to 8 show the Menara Gardens, with the gardens laid out around a central water basin and reservoir, next to which is the pavilion dating from the 19th century.

10 to 12 show a sizeable lunch and pool break at the Adam Park Hotel, before going to the Marrakech Medina in the afternoon.
