Panama
July 16, 2014

Dr. J landed in Panama City in mid-July, flying in late on the 15th, and arriving at the Intercontinental Playa Bonita Resort, located about 20 minutes from central Panama City. Day 1 on the 16th was spent eating, lazing by the pool, enjoying a few beverages and reading the new Veronica Mars novel, which begins in the time period a few weeks after the Veronica Mars movie that came out last March.

The best time to go to Panama is actually January to April, the dry season. Although even in the so-called rainy season when I went, the mornings are generally sunny with some clouds, and then in the afternoon, the clouds roll in. It may rain in the afternoon, or it may not, but if it rains, it rains hard and for a short time. Fortunately, it rains less often on the west side of the Panama Canal where my resort was located, than in Panama City.

Below: Pictures 1 and 2 are my plane from Toronto getting set up.
Pictures 3 to 5 are from inside my room at the Intercontinental Playa Bonita and a night view from my deck.
Pictures 5 through 10 show sunrise views of the resort behind my room into the rainforest, and along the Pacific Ocean beach.
