Above: Ornate carvings at the entrance to the Baptistry of the Milano Duomo, which was completed in 335 A.D. The original church on this site was a Roman basilica facing Mediolanum's (the original name for Milano) forum.

Pictures 1 and 2 are from the front of the Duomo
Pictures 3 to 6 show two of the front doors to the Duomo, with two pictures of the detailed scenes carved into them
Pictures 7 and 8 show more sculptures carved into the front facade
Picture 9 is a copper statue of Mary called the "Madonnina", high on top of the Duomo and covered with 3900 plates of gold leaf
Picture 10 shows the rear of the Duomo, with the Madonnina at the top
