Two excellent matches were in store, with Canadian Bianca Andreescu trying to become the first Canadian in the finals for this event in 50 years.
And she did, winning over her hard-working and stubborn opponent Sofia Kenin 6-4, 7-6. In the nightcap, Serena Williams came from behind to beat
upstart qualifier Marie Bouzková 1-6, 6-3, 6-3, with the third set providing an outstanding quality of serves, returns and rallies. Here are a few pictures.
