Above: The Imperial Palace of Rabat. The King does not live here, but conducts official business when in town. Rabat has been the capital of Morocco since it was a French protectorate in 1912. It was one of four Imperial Cities. Fes was the first in 789 AD, then Meknes and Marrakech in subsequent dynasties.

1 to 3 show us entering the capital city of Rabat.

4 to 10 show the Imperial Palace wall, the grounds and park. People are not allowed to take pictures of military personnel ... except at the Imperial Palace.
