Above: Largo da Matriz, meaning "wide of the matrix", I didn't see Keahu Reeves or Laurence Fishburne, so nothing to do with the movie ... matrix refers
to the multi-streeted square around the church.

2 is the Estátua (statue) de São Miguel Arcanjo, which refers to the Archangel Michael, the island being named after him.
3 is the clocktower of Igreja Matriz de São Sebastião, the 16th century church in historic Ponta Delgada.

9 is a street north of the church.
