Above: Looking from Spinalonga Island to the posh resort the Blue Palace, colourful but not very blue, and a place for rich travelers to enjoy.

1 is the small Church of St. Georgios on the eastern side of Spinalonga.

2 is the southern side of Spinalonga.

3 shows a shop in Plaka.

4 and 5 are at the Spinalonga Taverna in Plaka, where I enjoyed some fresh fried calamari.

6 is the drive through north-central Crete.

7 shows the old olive oil press used at Vassilakis Estate, where donkey's would be hitched up and would move the stone rollers.

8 and 9 show the production part of the Vassilakis Estate factory and their award winning Olive Oils. In Greece, olive oil
is treated like wine, with different quality and flavours, and awarded medals in competitions.
