Day 10, we spent the morning and early afternoon at Mantas Beach, and then the pool. We were told Playa Blanca Beach was the real beach, but Mantas had smaller waves, no crazy tides, and virtually no people ... a much nicer experience. At the pool, about ten Capuchin Monkeys barreled by looking for food and water. We left for San Jose and enjoyed very bad traffic getting to the airport hotel ... felt like home, just like in Toronto, only not that bad.

On Day 11, after a 5 am wakeup call to get to the airport we took off early in the morning for Toronto. The plane didn't arrive to the gate until about past boarding time, but Air Canada boarded us quickly. We arrived at Toronto Pearson right on time, to the minute. Air Canada. On time. I know, we all needed smelling salts. Actually, both flights went quite well, far fewer hassles than I recall from the staff of the beloved airline.

3 to 10 ... calm and serene Mantas Beach ... all three of us liked it better than the popular Playa Blanca Punta Leona.
