After the ride, the group returned for a hike throught the rainforest, where we saw various tree speciies and animal life, including Crabs, a Termite nest, a Lizard, a
Yellow-Throated Toucan, Red Ants and Wild Almond hardwood trees.
The three of us took an optional hike up close to 500 stairs to the lookout on Cerro Tortuguero, an ancient, extinct volcano on the north end of the National Park.
The hike featured several small, bright red and very poisonous Dart Frogs, a couple of Yellow-Throated Toucans, a Walking Tree and a Spider spinning its web.
