Day 2, after the previous days afternoon flight ... our small group of 3 Wingbuddy Tour group (it was 20 and 24 in Egypt and Morocco with them) joined other groups to drive from
the capital city San Jose through Braulio Carrillo National Park cloud forest area, by the orange volcanic sediment Río Sucio river, towards the Atlantic/Caribbean Coast.
At Caño Blanco, our groups hopped on a boat to get to our lodging in Tortuguero National Park, about a 1 to 1.5 hour ride ... there is no access of any kind by road or vehicle.
After lunch, our group travelled across the water to the small village of Tortuguero, on the Atlantic coast, where Green Sea turtles lay their eggs on the beach in the fall.
