Athletic Banquet

The St. Thomas Aquinas community celebrated the best in Cardinal sports with an excellent meal of fresh croissants with chocolate drizzle, chicken in a sweet chili sauce, roasted potatoes,
penne in red sauce, mixed veggies, and garden salad, plus ice cream bars for dessert, prepared by Mr. Schaller and his culinary class chefs. Oh yeah, there were also awards ... coaches award,
most dependable player and most valuable player for each of the nineteen sports teams at the school. Five athletes received the junior letter for considerable participation in school
sports, and three of those received the senior letter for exceptional sports participation and contributions to the school.
The second annual Gene Udulio Memorial Award, in memory of an Aquinas football player who passed away, was won by Isabella McPhee, with last year's winner Tailon Crawford on hand to speak
and present the award to her. The two athletes of the year are awarded to students who are both high performing athletes and excellent people, and the deserved four and five sport winners
this year were Alena Szlapetis and Isabella McPhee. Here are pictures from the banquet.
