The Varsity Girls Hockey team began the new year facing the Heart Lake Hurricanes at Greenbriar arena. The team fell behind in the first
five minutes of play 2-0, but roared back with determined domination to take a 3-2 lead after the first period. Heart Lake tied it up
in the second period, but the Cardinals took control with two goals in the third, and held on nicely for the 5-3 victory. The team
is now 2 wins, 1 loss and 1 tie in the competitive North Division, good for 3rd place in the standings. Here are few pictures from the game.
