The Senior Football Cardinals opened their season at home against the St. Marguerite D'Youville Panthers.
The Cardinals scored first on a fumble return across the Panther goal line, but it was called back on a penalty.
The Panthers scored a touchdown shortly thereafter, and added a two-point safety near the end of the first half
to take a 9-0 lead into half-time. The Cardinals scored a Boswell to Hector long bomb touchdown in the 4th quarter,
and near the end of the game marched down the field to attempt a game-tying field goal as time ran out, which
was controversially ruled wide, leaving the Cardinals on the short of a 9-6 decision. Here are some pictures from the action.
