Iceland
July 2009

Pictures one through four, and the top panoramic, feature hiking between the tectonic plates in Pingvellir National Park, and picture three highlights the area where the world's first parliament was set up in 930 AD (only about 60 years after Norse and Celtics are believed to have started colonizing the island). Leading farmers and chieftains started meeting annually to create laws and settle disputes and feuds that sprang up between the settlers. Picture five is my personal cruise ship. Picture six is a view in downtown Reykjavik. Pictures seven through nine, and the panoramic below, is the sunset over Reykjavik Harbour.
