Iceland
July 2009

The next few pages feature pictures from the Golden Circle Tour, which visit a Geothermal Plant, Gollfuss Waterfall, Geysir country and Pingvellir National Park. The top panoramic is of the turbines at the Reykjanes Geothermal Plant, one of five in Iceland which use underground heat to create all the electricity and hot water to meet the needs of Iceland. Pictures two through seven are images from Reykjanes. Pictures eight and nine are journeying through the countryside, including a multitude of greenhouses, which utilizes the cheap power to provide virtually all of Iceland's vegetables and non-tropical fruit needs.
