Trip to Europe: Florence
July 2010

The first two pictures are of the Dominican cathedral and convent San Marco, consecrated in 1443. The final eight pictures are from Fiesole, a small town 8 km. from Florence near the top of the highest hill in the region. Found by the Etruscans in the 9th century B.C., there are still Etruscan and Roman ruins by the town center. Pictures three to five around Fiesole square and the cathedral Saint Romulus of Fiesole. The final five pictures are views from on top of the hill.
