Trip to Europe: Florence
July 2010

The first seven pictures finish the Basilica de Santa Croce, with burial sculptures for the tombs of Michelangelo, Galileo, Dante and Machiavell respectively in pictures three through six. Pictures eight and nine are from the Ponte Vecchio. Pictures ten through fourteen are in the Piazza beside the Palazzo Vecchio, with statues of Michelangelo`s David, the Grand Duke Cosimo (the Elder) de Medici, who ruled Florence in the 1400`s, then Bandini`s Hercules and Cacus, in pictures eleven to thirteen. Pictures eighteen through twenty-one are of the very nice Basilica of Santa Maria del Santo Spirito, south of the Arno River, including a Raphael of the Madonna and Christ child.
