At this home is a 7 acre plantation that grows coffee, cacao, pineapple, vanilla and coconut, makes Mamajuana, and a bit of tobacco for Dominican cigars.
Mamajuana has nothing to do with marijuana, but was a drink created by a mother by the name of Juana, which contains honey, sweet red wine, a bit of rum in a bottle
with local tree bark and herbs. It of course cures everything, from liver ailments to flu to diabetes, and it's thought of as an aphrodisiac.
