In the recent past, there have been several excellent movies aimed at the family audience, and Ice Age continues that positive trend. It may not achieve at the same level as Shrek or Monster's Inc., but its smart sense of humour, solid story, and appeal to both children and adults make it an ideal film for a family outing.
