The 8 team Aquinas Basketball League came down to two teams ... the Spurs and the Lakers in the championship game. The heavily favoured Lakers featured a stacked team that dominated
in the regular season. The Spurs started strong, with good three point shooting and rebounding, to jump out to a 12-4 lead, and then headed into half-time with a 35-23 lead.
The Lakers came out strong in the second half and cut the lead to 35-32 in about 5 minutes, and the Spurs responded with a run to make it 44-35. But the Lakers ended the
game strong and eked out a 46-44 win. Here are pictures from the game.
