Charley's Aunt
May 9, 2012

The grade 12 RAP Drama class presented their final play in their trilogy of plays, Charley's Aunt, a 1892 farce by Brandon Thames that set attendance records in London, England. The three act play involves two young men who have their eye on two pretty young women, and promise them a chance to meet Charley's recently widowed, now rich aunt. When she fails to show on time, the boys coerce their buddy to dress up as the aunt to pacify the girls and two older suitors interested in the aunt's money. Eventually Charley's Aunt shows, but keeps quiet about her real identity to see what her nephew and friends are up to. Here are a few pictures from the opening performance.
